Love Sonnet
#579
Moonlit lips
that smile in a quiet crescent,
My heart
beats to the eclipse of her eyes:
Down to her
soul's blooming, my descent;
Spring
spirit, fathoms of streams and verdant sighs.
Each glance
as autumn equinox in clear skies,
Perfumed
clouds pass time to summers heat,
High Heaven
of my desire, my love soars, flies
Surrender to
the echo of her voice; a swift defeat.
Her face in
every lake, on each storm-swept street
My passions
forged in visions high and low,
The bounty
of my harvest; acres of golden wheat...
In secret
whispers my adoration flows.
She: my sun,
moon, Goddess of sky and season...
Not to love
her sublime steps is unreasonable treason.
