I am doing a 'Shakespeare
Sonnet Recitation Marathon' as an effort to raise money for Veteran's
Charities. So if you see one of my videos on YouTube and 'like' it - all that I
ask you to consider is making a small donation either to your choice of veteran
charity, either in the U.S. or U.K. - or one of my designated charities. You
will find links to websites below. Please consider making a donation for the
benefit of those who served on your behalf:
In the U.S. I support
'Vet-Tix' or 'Veterans Tickets' –
'Veteran Tickets
Foundation's Tickets for Troops Program is dedicated to giving back to those
who gave us so much. We team up with major sports teams, leagues, promoters,
organizations, venues and every day event ticket holders to provide free and
discounted tickets to currently serving and veterans of all branches of the US
military. The Veteran Tickets Foundation is proud to announce that to date
2,343,200 event tickets have been given out in all 50 States and Washington, DC
to our Military, Veterans and their families.'
In the U.K. I support the
SSAFA - The Armed Forces Charity
'SSAFA provides lifelong
support for veterans and their families. So if you’ve ever served in the Army,
RAF or Royal Navy, we’re here for you and your family when you need help, for
life. That’s for both Regulars and Reserves. Our trained volunteers can provide
practical and emotional support if and when you need it. Our network of local
branches means that help and advice is always close at hand. When you contact
us for support we will put you in touch with one of our experienced advisors in
your area. It is often the little things which make the most difference - but
we are also experienced at dealing with complex problems.'
